ACHIEVEMENTS
Biomation Systems delivers quality process improvement for all sized businesses at an affordable rate.  BioMation has grown to close to $300,000 annual revenue by providing valuable, professional and quality service at great price.

Jon Watson built a services sales organization from ground zero for EDS, conceptualizing and realizing strategic plan that generated $2 million in software and consulting revenue within one year. Sustained strong revenue gains despite a fiercely competitive and declining market.  While SE Manager of Services Sales, he generated more service business in the southeast than had ever been obtained by SDRC by cultivating relationships with the customer base in the region and uncovering new customer needs.  This took the region from "worst to first" in sales in one year.

Marketing
Jon excelled in demonstrating advanced computer software in highly competitive situations that required near perfection in preparation, logistics, presentation skills, and advanced knowledge of computer operations.  Jon also co-developed marketing plans and software demonstrations for SDRC's products that were successfully implemented worldwide.

Strategic Planning and Management
As President of BioMation Systems, Jon Watson is responsible for all phases of the business operation from accounting, taxes, sales, customer development and even database programming.  Jon's skills were most valuable in understanding the customers needs and translating that to a plan for software development and implementation.

While at SDRC, Jon successfully managed a regional support organization and developed the position of National Services Sales Director and was promoted to Major Accounts Services Sales.

Jon developed the product and marketing plans for the first commercially available solids and finite element modeling system that ran on personal computers while at Caetec Systems.  While in this role, Jon successfully developed technical marketing collaborative materials, developed and maintained a testing program for the end user software, and worked closely with technical development to advise them on market needs for engineering modeling software.

Consulting Experience
Jon has worked with companies large and small to improve their product development processes by helping them implement the latest technologies in engineering automation.  See the partial list of companies below and products worked on below:

Lockheed-Martin design work on the F22, C130, and L10-11 and others
Ford  automotive design
Dana Corporation  drive train design
Vistakon  contact lenses
Panasonic  cell phones and pagers
GE  MRI machines
NASA shuttle and ground support facilities
United Space Alliance ground support equipment
Maytag consumer appliances
WellCraft power boats
GE Lighting  industrial and street lights
Delta Airlines landing gear and fuselage repair analysis
Gilbarco design of gas pumps
Yamaha design of  wave runners
Spaulding  automated design of golf balls
Unites Space Boosters designed a system used to inventory reusable Space Shuttle parts

Process Improvement Examples
At Caremaster Services, Inc. Jon headed the development of a complete, ground up, revolutionary new Home Healthcare Management Suite.  BioMation completely replaced an antiquated system saving them thousands of dollars every month.

At Vistakon, Jon Watson was in charge of a team that developed a software application that revolutionized the way that Vistakon produced a contact lens.  Vistakon was able to successfully shorten the design and manufacturing cycle from nine months to two weeks.  We also achieved remarkable success by reducing the design and manufacturing iterations from nine to one.  The project saved Vistakon close to a million dollars the first time it was put it into production.

At Dana Corporation, Jon redesigned the current design process use to create axles for their customers who were vehicle manufacturers.  Jon developed a plan and put a team in place that was able to develop software tools that turned an eight-week design cycle into minutes.  This enabled the Dana Corporation to evaluate many more design alternatives and in turn have a better product for their customers.  They reduced costs significantly and were able to improve their bottom line.

Again at WellCraft, Jon reviewed the process they followed to design and develop boats.  He was able to put a plan together that called for implementation of 3D modeling, training and custom software applications.  "We took software that they were already using for hull design and incorporated it into 3D modeling and were able to reduce hull design times significantly."  From that 3D model they were able to create all the interior and exterior parts that made up the boat in such a way that they fit together the first time.  They reduced time and waste out of their design cycle up to 80%.

Engineering and Design Training
Jon has trained engineers and designers at over fifty companies to use advanced 3D modeling and design tools to improve their products and designs on the following products:

Personal Water Craft Hull and components
Turbine Impellers
